To BEE or Not to BEE!

To BEE or Not to BEE!

That is the question my friends which I find myself asking myself time and time again. Lets look into the origin of the question, the roots, the meat and potatoes if you must. The origin of the quote dates back to the year 1988. The New York Yankees of 1988. That team was comprised of power and speed. The catalyst of the lineup of course was Donny Baseball. The table setter was Rickey Henderson. Why was that team a butt awful team than? Pitching, Pitching, Pitching! Andy Hawkins wasn't doing it my friends.

2007

Well now we fast forward to 2007 and we have a team locked in for the playoffs at the time of this article fighting Boston with a week left in the season for first place. To Bee or not to Bee? Well is the pitching good enough to capture a 27th title? Compared to the rest of the league it is avg. to above avg. but compared to the likes of the Angels the pitching is a tad below. The post season is won with pitching and not with slugging.

Can Rocket regain his youth?

Can Andy snake eyes regain his playoff big game savvy?

Can Wang turn into El Duque circa 1998? Can King Philip live up to the promise?

These are questions that we need to look into. We here at Memo to Mr. Steinbrenner would like your opinion. 2007 Yankees, to Bee or not to Bee!

Wild Card

I think the Yankees are better off if THEY DONT CATCH the SOX in a way in the division as of today Sept.21,2007 the Yankees have cut the Sox lead to 1.5 games from 14.5 in August pretty impressive, yes it's good to go into the postseason with momentum but this isn't alway's a formula for success as proven in recent years

The reason I say this is

#1 the yankees need to rest there rotation but play them sparingly at the same time to keep them sharp

#2 yes someday they'll have to get past the Angels and, when and if that day comes that's a monumental victory in itself, as of a day ago The Angels were second seed and Indiand third, meaning if the Yankees are the wildcard they play the Indians no easy feet in itself (this is playoff baseball, if last years cinderella team the Tigers haven't proven this yet?)

as of now they're all tied so who knows it seemd the Indians already clintched (just about)

have the harder of the two western foes remaining schedule of about ten games

I rather play the Indians in 5 game series let the Sox and Halo's rock em sock it out

that's just my opinion what's your's

Should Mussina be a part of the post season rotation or Kennedy get back to me on that?

AOL REPORTS IF AROD DECIDES TO OPT OUT OF HIS CONTRaCT THE RED SOX ARE A STRONG POSSIBILITY?

I know I haven't written in this blog in a while but however theres a story much on mind I would like to report on from >> http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2007/09/11/a-rod-and-boston-a-match-made-in-heaven/

Personaly I think Arod will re-negotiate his contract reguardless of Scott Boris being his agent if he were to go to the fre marker he would definetely command 32 to 40 million a year (unheard of) But Arod know's history at least this is what I'm hoping for??

And he know's when everythings said and done he could shatter all the legendary Yankee records and be held in the same breath as Ruth,Gehrig,Mantle,DiMaggio
